• Vintage: 1960's
• Details:  This is such a cool looking glass carafe!  Like all the David Douglas Glass pieces, it has that wonderful Mid Century Modern look.  This coffee pot has gold flowers and wheat all around the glass, plus more white enamel flowers along the metallic gold top.  The black plastic lid and handle finish the cool 1960's look.  The carafe is stamped on the side:  "David Douglas Flameproof" and it's marked for 6 cups.  Perfect for any Mid Century Modern collector, or coffee enthusiast!

• Dimensions:   7.0 inches Tall (to spout).  5.5 inches in Diameter (at base) and top opening is approx. 4.0 inches in Diameter. 
• Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Very Good Vintage Condition.  There is discoloration by the handle on the top metal band, and some wear on the gold design, all acceptable due to age/use/wear.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  All Sales Final.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show scratches, wear and tear and imperfections. 

David Douglas and Company was founded by David Douglas in 1956 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. David designed most of the products and in the mid 1950's invented a new wood grained plastic called Accalac.  He was also the first to use a polyurethane called Uralac in his products which made them retain both heat and cold.  Even with all the success in plastics, David Douglas' most enduring and desired housewares items are his works in glass. His company earned 13 awards at the National Housewares Association design awards in 1968.
